On the 7th of November, we were greeted in Room D by Stephen Murray, a published poet and author of his own book. Stephen was a middle - aged man, who was full of energy and love for the art of poetry. He spoke to us about his childhood, and how growing up in various children's homes and having his fair share of girlfriends really influenced his love of poetry. He made poetry really fun to learn about. He also showed us videos of today's problems, such as bullying etc. We even wrote our on poem and submitted it to 'Inspireland', for it to be edited and published online. I actually love poetry and this workshop was really enjoyable for me.
Overall, the workshop was a really good idea. It has to be one of my favourite things so far this year. Stephen made learning about it so fun and interesting that in the end, everyone walking out of Room D was a poet!
